Bringing steady, experienced leadership to Eastern Carver County Schools.
I’m a visionary leader, an empathetic listener, and an effective communicator. I’m a lifelong learner, a parent, and a teacher. I’m energized by collaboration and challenge. And I’ve been passionately committed to world-class education throughout my life and career.
As an Eastern Carver County School Board member, I will lead with…

RESPECT
…for the professional training and expertise of our teachers and staff
…for ideological differences and unique perspectives of community members
…for all learners, who each deserve a quality educational experience
…for efforts of leadership, including past and present School Board members

INTEGRITY
…to communicate with transparency, honesty, and sincerity
…to take responsibility for and ownership of decisions and their consequences
…to take seriously my moral obligation as a steward of taxpayer resources
…to maintain a commitment to responsiveness, adaptation, and humility

OPTIMISM
…in believing that our district’s best days are visible on the horizon
…in assuming good faith and best intentions of all community members
…in focusing on solving problems, not dwelling on past mistakes
…in maintaining that our learners’ incredible potential should inspire us all
Where I Stand
It’s a consequential time in our world, and that’s certainly reflected in our schools. While the work of a school board member requires both breadth and depth of understanding, I’ve identified four issues as areas of focus to respond to our immediate needs.

“Wealth of Experience”
Angela’s wealth of experience in education will be a breath of fresh air in the district. She is knowledgeable, charismatic, a skillful collaborator, and the list goes on. I’m excited to vote in support of her in November!
– David Lachman, Chaska
“Does Her Research”
Her interest and concern in public schools is unchallenged, and she would lend a fair-minded, supportive communicator to your community. She does her research on topics and concerns, and brings an inclusive approach to the challenges in schools today.
– Kip Johnson, Retired Educator
“Advocate for Children”
Eastern Carver County Schools needs Angela Erickson’s leadership, educational expertise, and financial acumen on the school board. You won’t find a more dedicated community member and parent to advocate for our children and our educators!
– Bethany Collins, Chanhassen
